Bicycle Inner Tube Silencers
If you want to silence a bell for teaching learners, try a clever idea that we got from Matthew Higby. Loop an old bicycle inner tube around the clapper flight, then around the bolt on the top of the headstock. If it’s too long, tie a knot in it! It’s much quicker than ropes or wooden devices.
