This book has a wealth of information in it, which everyone, not just learners, will find interesting,  (Do you know what a twiddle pin looks like, and do you know why most of our spiral staircases turn clockwise as they go up?)  The book has colour pictures, and is designed to be dipped into, rather than read from cover to cover in one go.  There are coloured boxes throughout, containing extra points of interest or advice in addition to the main text.
